CREW Utah Awards Local Scholarships

CREW Utah is pleased to announce McKell Dalton, University of Utah student, and Brooke Harper, Weber State University student, as recipients of the 2017 CREW Utah Elevate Scholarships. These $5,000.00 scholarships are made possible by Kip Paul, Executive Director with Cushman & Wakefield Commerce, Cottonwood Partners, Michael Roderick, President of Roderick Realty Services, and Newmark Grubb ACRES to support the advancement, achievement, and success of women in commercial real estate. In addition to the scholarships, each recipient will receive a CREW Utah student membership.

Dalton is currently in the Masters of Real Estate Development program at the University of Utah. She works as a Research Analyst for CBRE where she focuses on the office market. McKell was recently awarded the quarterly RISE award which is given to the employee who best exudes the company’s values of RISE (respect, integrity, service and excellence). She also participated in the Utah Real Estate Challenge where her team was one of three finalists. Dalton earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in finance from Brigham Young University. McKell is very passionate about real estate and has goals to invest in real estate. In her free time, she likes to play Ultimate Frisbee, spend time in the outdoors (particularly driving around in her convertible), and eating sushi.

Harper will be a senior this fall at Weber State University and is double majoring in Interior Design and Professional Sales. She works at MHTN Architects as an intern and serves on the Weber State Interior Design Chapter as the IDEAL student representative. She just returned from a school trip to Europe where she was able to study the architecture and interior design of numerous historical buildings. As well as traveling, and designing, she loves to go dancing, being outdoors, singing, cooking delicious food, and having adventures with her family and friends. Brooke previously earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. Brooke is very grateful to be a recipient of the CREW scholarship award and looks forward to being involved and learning from the wonderful women who are members of CREW.
