Kate leverages more than two decades of industry experience to assist developers, builders, lenders, and title companies with real estate and construction transactions, projects, and workouts. Kate guides clients at every stage of the project development lifecycle–from planning to due diligence and title to acquisition and through lease out, management, and operation. She has led transactions involving a range of development projects, including commercial, industrial, retail centers, office buildings, hotels and resorts, restaurants, senior living centers, multifamily apartments, condominiums, oil and gas projects, and subdivisions. Kate has extensive experience with leasing for retail, office, and industrial, on both the Landlord and Tenant side of the transaction. Kate has practiced in both the transactional and conflict resolution/litigation side of real estate having recently won an appeal in the 8th District Court of Appeals in Cuyahoga County.
Before relocating to Utah, Kate served as a member of the prestigious Ohio State Bar Association, Real Property Section Council, from 2015-2019 and was one of the first lawyers in Ohio to become a Certified Specialist in Residential Real Property Law. Kate also Chaired the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Real Property Section and co-authored the newly revised Ohio State Bar Association, Title Examination Standards. Kate is licensed in Ohio and Utah.
